Pray for the protection of Burmese refugees
Last week CSW reported that 3,000 Burmese refugees in Thailand were being threatened with forcible return to Burma. CSW briefed the UK Government and the EU, and various media including The Independent quoted CSW’s press release. The good news is that the deportations have now stopped, and three families who were sent back to their home villages have been allowed to return to Thailand.
But the remaining Karen refugees face being sent back to a landmine-infested camp in Burma, after fleeing attacks by the Burma Army in June last year. There’s no guarantee that the Thai Government won’t continue the deportations after UN officials leave the area. Please keep upholding these vulnerable people in prayer, asking God to protect them.

Thank you so much for praying for Robert Park, the Christian missionary who went into North Korea on Christmas Day and has just been released from detention. We thank God for his safety and that he is recovering with his family. Robert’s aim was to raise awareness of the human rights abuses in North Korea, and you can help achieve this by lobbying your MEP today.
