Global Action from Tearfund
Welcome to Global Action

$200 billion is needed globally each year by 2020 to help millions of people in developing countries who are suffering as their lives are devastated by climate change.

On June 22nd the new UK government will announce an emergency budget and government leaders will attend the G20 later this month, tackling climate change should be prioritised at both.

Ask the Treasury to make finding climate cash a priority, by clicking here.

LIVES DEVASTATED...
Millions of poor people are being pushed further into poverty as their lives are devastated by climate changes, including increased frequency and severity of floods and droughts.

Rich countries - most responsible for the problem - must urgently provide additional climate cash of at least $200 billion a year by 2020 - to help poor countries respond by adapting lifestyles and livelihoods and delivering sustainable development.

The emergency budget on 22 June, provides the perfect opportunity for the new coalition government to show global leadership on this issue.

Email Chancellor George Osborne to urge him to support the need for ambitious climate cash and get behind clever new ideas to generate money.

With thanks for all you do,
