Pastor Omar Perez and his wife Kenia

"Your words bring great joy to me"
It is a privilege to share encouraging news from Cuba:

In December, we asked for prayer for Reverend Rodriguez who faced trial on trumped up charges and whose trial was suspended at the last minute, at great relief to his family. “We took pleasure in this miracle of the Lord with tears in our eyes…We firmly believe that this was just the beginning of God’s work in our favour...your prayers have been of great value”.

Pastor Omar Gude Perez was imprisoned in May 2008, without charge or trial, most likely because of the rapid growth and impact of his ministry. His wife Kenia sent this message of thanks: “Your words bring great joy to me, thank you for your support….You all can act as a channel to make history with the gospel in Cuba”.

Help stop the forcible return of Eritrean refugees
Your prayer and action today can help stop the forcible return of refugees to Eritrea, where they are seriously endangered.

Following our call for action on behalf of Eritrean refugees and asylum seekers, we are disappointed to report that, after a brief respite, forcible returns have resumed. In December, over 100 Eritrean men, women and children were imprisoned in Northern Sinai after being forcibly returned to Egypt by the Israeli Army. Since then, over 80 have been forcibly deported. Those who resisted, including a pregnant woman, were severely assaulted by Egyptian prison guards. Countless other Eritrean refugees face a similar fate and are in desperate need of our help.

Take action! Take action!
