Dear Peter,
As a consumer you have every right to know where the multinational corporations you do business with every day stand on the moral issue of tax dodging.
A worldwide culture of financial secrecy allows tax-dodging firms to rob poor countries of more than $160bn a year. I believe we need to increase tax transparency in order to help poor countries get their money back.
Recently many of our supporters began emailing FTSE100 companies asking them to fill out a survey to gauge support of greater tax transparency. Take a moment to ask these corporations where they stand:

There is no reason for corporations to fear our simple survey. We are not accusing any of these corporations of participating in tax dodging. We simply want to know where they stand on this important issue.
We’ve heard from about half of the 100: either by letter, phone calls or by filling in our survey. Some of the FTSE’s biggest household names have taken the time to engage with us on how their tax practices impact the developing world.
We want companies to be required to report the profits they make and the tax they pay in all countries in which they operate. And now it is time to see where the corporations stand.
More than 60,000 emails have already been sent. Please take action now:

UK companies have a chance to help shape a better future for millions of people living in poverty. Help us seize that opportunity.
Thanks,
