Inclusive India: Sign our petition to bring in new laws to protect victims of violence! In summer 2008, Christians in Orissa were attacked by hate mobs: at least 70 people were killed and 50,000 people were forced to flee their homes. Even now many of them are still living in tents and have not received justice or fair compensation. The Indian Government is introducing pioneering legislation to prevent, control and deal with the aftermath of religiously-motivated violence. CSW welcomes this step, but is urging the Indian Government to make revisions to the bill so that it includes, for example, a uniform scale of compensation, measures against police complicity, and the protection of witnesses, to help end the suffering caused by the horrific pattern of violence against religious minorities. >>> Sign the petition today to help end the suffering caused by religious violence! |

CUBA: Praise God for the decision to release 52 political prisoners in Cuba Praise God that 52 political prisoners in Cuba will be released! So far twenty have been released and sent to Spain. Among them are Dr Jorge Luis Garcia Paneque, a devout Roman Catholic who has featured in Connect & Encourage, and Normando Hernandez. Your support, through cards and prayers, was a huge encouragement and your lobbying meant that they weren’t forgotten. Please continue to pray as the releases appear to be conditional on leaving Cuba and many others remain in prison. >>> Praise God and pray for Christians still in prison |
