Greenbelt 2010 - 27/30 August
If you had two minutes with the new Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister what would you say? That is the challenge to people attending this years annual Greenbelt Festival. As part of a new three-year Methodist partnership with the event, the Public Issues Team of the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Church will be distributing postcards and holding a networking event to discuss this further. Our action is just one part of an exciting wider festival line-up of speakers, musicians, poets and films that make this the premier arts-based festival exploring issues of faith and justice.
Book your ticket for the event today.
Come to the G-Source venue and come to our networking event on Monday 30 August (more details in the Greenbelt programme available at the event).

United Reformed Church Assembly debate on Nestle
The General Assembly of the URC adopted two resolutions related to the investment and product boycott of Nestle after an engaging debate at their recent gathering in Loughborough. The first recognises that investment decisions in Nestle (and all other companies) now need to be governed by the revised ethical investment statement adopted by Assembly, and the second recommended that the existing boycott of Nestle products be maintained until such time as Nestle attains listing on the FTSE4Good Index.
The revised ethical principles and Nestle review report upon which these resolutions was based can be read in the General Assembly 2010 Book of Reports (pages 94-100).
